Weekly Newsletter - April 20, 2022
On Tuesday, April 26 at 6 PM, Hillel of Silicon Valley is partnering with Club Z, the Consulate General of Israel, and Students Supporting Israel at SJSU on an inspirational Yom Hashoah Commemoration. The campus community and the Jewish Community are invited to join us. The attendees will have the privilege of hearing the testimony of George Elbaum, a Holocaust survivor, who escaped from the Warsaw Ghetto with his mother at age 4. In addition, we will honor the memory of the Six Million through prayer, poetry, and a song led by students from SJSU, Club Z, and Cantor Leah Shafritz of San Jose's Temple Emanu-El. After the commemoration, we will walk together to the Martin L. King, Jr. Library for the last opportunity to view the Beyond Duty exhibit before closing on April 28.
Students, faculty, and staff at Santa Clara University are planning a Yom Hashoah commemoration for Thursday, April 28.
