Dear SSFC Community, Friends, and Partners:
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our beloved Teaching and Learning Specialist, Amy Queen. Amy passed away on Sunday, January 09, 2022, with complications from COVID19. Amy has been a valued member of our team since April 2006 and will be missed by members of the SSFC Board, Staff, and the childcare providers she worked tirelessly to support. Please keep Amy’s family in your thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time. As you are aware, her passing is recent and arrangements for her funeral has not been confirmed. Upon receipt of those arrangements, we will immediately notify you.
Amy’s work has impacted several hundred teachers, thousands of children and touched the hearts of several in the Forsyth County community for almost 20 years. We ask that you keep her family and the SSFC staff in your prayers and we grieve the loss and celebrate the life of Amy. Our Board and Staff remain resilient as ever and understand the value, love, and passion Amy has contributed toward our team and community. For the betterment of children, families, and staff, I remain.
Yours Truly,
