Remembrance Day
On Thursday, Nov. 11, our office will be closed in observance of Remembrance Day. We are grateful to those who have served and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace.

The legal profession has a long tradition of honouring its war veterans. During World War I and World War II, many lawyers and law students left their work and studies behind and paid the ultimate price for Canada.

The Legal Archives Society of Alberta’s War Heroes virtual gallery features images and files of information commemorating World War I and World War II veterans from Alberta’s legal profession who participated in the conflict and made significant contributions on the home front and overseas.

Calgary Legal Guidance Survey
Calgary Legal Guidance (CLG) is looking for Alberta family lawyers to complete a brief online survey regarding understanding, resources and gaps in knowledge when it comes to domestic violence and its various forms. CLG will be using the data it collects to create an online resource where lawyers and other working professionals can find training and materials to support clients who allege abuse and domestic violence.

The survey takes between 10 to 15 minutes to complete. All answers will be kept anonymous. For those interested, there is an opportunity for a follow-up interview to provide further details.

If you have any questions related to this survey, please contact Ashna Prakash. CLG thanks you for your help in answering their survey questions.
