Astec Hosts Women of Asphalt Executive Seminar

Earlier this month, Astec hosted the Women of Asphalt Executive Seminar at Jerome Ave. This two-day seminar brought together leaders across the asphalt industry, fostering thought leadership and acknowledging the pivotal role women play in the field.

"Events like this are vital to empowering and advancing women in our industry. At Astec, we’re proud to host and champion such impactful initiatives, providing the resources and support that help the women who shape our industry lead with authenticity and confidence," said Aletheia Silcott, Global Vice President and Head of Human Resources.

High-Performance Conversations Are Open!

The High-Performance Conversation (HPC) window is open! Astec strives to be an Employer of Choice and foster engaged employees by using the HPC process to set and track annual goals, discuss values-driven behavior, formulate employee development plans, and reward performance.

From Nov. 1, 2024 until Jan. 31, 2025, employees and managers must engage in the following steps to complete their High-Performance Conversations:

1. Employees: Choose the appropriate self-review form (linked in the button below).

2. Employees: Complete your self-review form and submit to your direct manager before your High-Performance Conversation meeting.

3. Managers: Schedule and lead a High-Performance Conversation meeting with each of your direct reports.

4. Managers: Submit the completed HPC form by January 31, 2025. Submit via Oracle (sites where Oracle is live) or via an email to local HR (sites where Oracle isn’t live).

Touch-A-Truck 2024

This past weekend, Astec participated in Junior League of Chattanooga's Touch-A-Truck event! A big thank you to everyone who came out with their families and gave the little ones a chance to explore the equipment we’re so proud to design and manufacture.

At Astec, we’re Built to Connect, and events like this remind us why we do what we do. These bright-eyed kiddos are the future, and we’re proud to build the equipment that shapes a world they can grow into.
