UCHealth is implementing the Epic Behavioral Health module on June 1, 2021. Changes coming with this module include Group Documentation, Treatment Plans and Episodes vs Encounters. 

This new module will impact Epic documentation for providers, behavioral health counselors, behavioral health specialists, behavioral health techs, care coordinators/managers, and social workers among others. Training for the new module is outlined below.
Providers
1.   Required pre-recorded lessons will be sent via email; these can be viewed any time.
2.   Specialist Training Specialists - To provide the most efficient training with specialty-specific workflows and clinically relevant scenarios, we are partnering with Allison G. Dempsey, PhD Associate Professor, our provider specialist trainer for behavioral health. Live one hour sessions via Teams will provide an opportunity to see the changes and have your questions answered. Please join us for these targeted trainings with specialist Allison Dempsey. 
 
3.    Virtual 1:1 After completion of the required lessons, optional one-on-one sessions are available virtually with a provider coach. Ask questions about the new functionality and get them answered. Schedule at your convenience after May 17. 
Staff
To provide the most effective and efficient training for the new behavioral health module, there will be two components:

1.   Mandatory on-demand training. Pre-recorded lessons assigned through ULearn will be available after May 14. These can be viewed any time. Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as the internet browser for the best viewing experience. Watch demonstrations of the new functionality in Epic and practice in the training environment.

2.   Virtual 1:1 or small group sessions. After completion of the mandatory lessons, optional one-on-one or small group sessions are available virtually with an Epic trainer. Ask questions about the new functionality and get them answered. Schedule at your convenience after May 17.
