Happy New Year!  ITRC has kicked off the year with three new Project Teams, with their first Team meetings happening soon:

New ITRC Project Teams:

Green and Sustainable Chemistry

The team will identify best practices, compile resources on regulations, and develop a framework linking green chemistry, materials management, and circularity for toxic chemicals.

Sustainable Management of Waste from Energy Resources

This project will address managing waste from energy production sources, both emerging and legacy waste streams, with a focus on renewable energy sources.

Underwater Munitions

The project focuses on advancing science, technology, and guidance for detecting, classifying, characterizing, recovering, and disposing of underwater munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) across over 450 identified sites covering more than 10 million acres.

Our three 2024 Project Teams are also ramping up for completing draft guidance updates, new documents, training, and educational materials!
