Attention 4th Grade Families:
It is time to plan for our 4th grade field trip to Carson City and Virginia City! Our trip this year will be scheduled for
(exact date to follow).
This is a one day trip in which students fly Southwest Airlines to Reno in the morning and fly back in the evening. Once students arrive, charter buses will take students to Carson City and Virginia City. While at Carson City, students will have the opportunity to visit the legislative building (and hopefully see an actual legislative session), tour the Governor's Mansion, visit the Capital building and more! While in Virginia City, students will take a mining and tour and learn more about the mining history of Nevada. Lunch and dinner will be provided.
Inspirada staff and administration will be chaperoning this field trip. Parents will be asked to chaperone as well; however, exact number of chaperones allowed to attend will depend on the final number of students that end up going on this trip. More information about how to become a chaperone will be forthcoming!
In order to determine a final cost for students, we need to get a head count of how many students are interested in attending. The overall cost will be
$300-350; however, we will know a more exact cost once we determine how many students will be joining us. The driving force of cost in this trip is the Southwest Airline fee. Once we have a headcount and book a final date with Southwest, we will be able to determine an exact cost.
THIS IS JUST AN INTEREST SURVEY. After this, another email will be sent where parents sign up again to confirm their child's attendance. Once this step happens, your Infinite Campus account will be billed at that point. Please know, a non-refundable deposit of $100 will be due prior to winter break.
Please click "RSVP" link below to let us know whether or not you are interested in your child participating in this trip.
