The Maryland General Assembly just passed a record budget for public education. The time is now to hold our county council and school board members accountable and ensure that they fully fund education. If they value our youth and say they value education, they have a tremendous opportunity not just to say it, but show us!

We are in the midst of contract negotiations, and you should know what's happening. Here you will find a  video update  on the current status of our collective bargaining. In order to ensure that we all win, we need you to do the following:

1. Sign up to attend our  next bargaining session on April 10th , at PGCEA.

2.  Sign up to attend  Occupy County Council   where you will be able to tell your story of why fair compensation, smaller classroom sizes, and restorative practices matter to you.

3.  Email your council member and board of education representative by clicking here to "Start Writing ."

We need to contact every Prince George's County Council Member and ask them to fully fund education.

Imagine all of our schools being fully funded. Now is the time to raise our voices to make sure that we get this legislation across the finish line for our students, for our community, and our educators.

Contact your representatives NOW to DEMAND they give PGCPS educators and students the support they deserve.
