CANNT Webinar

Centralized Acid Delivery in Dialysis:

Operational, Environmental, and Financial Benefits

Wednesday June 24 at 14:30 – 15:30 ET

This webinar will provide an overview of Central Acid Delivery Systems (CDS) in hemodialysis and their impact on operational efficiency, sustainability, workplace safety, and long-term cost reduction. Participants will explore how CDS can reduce plastic waste, manual handling risks, acid wastage, and transportation requirements while improving workflow efficiency within dialysis programs.

The session will also discuss practical considerations for implementation, including return on investment (ROI), infrastructure planning, stakeholder engagement, and change management strategies for transitioning from traditional acid jug systems to centralized delivery systems.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the operational and environmental benefits of CDS in dialysis programs
  • Identify potential cost savings and ROI considerations associated with CDS implementation
  • Compare different CDS design options and infrastructure considerations
  • Recognize workflow, safety, and ergonomic improvements for frontline staff
  • Discuss strategies for change management, staff engagement, and successful CDS adoption
  • Review real-world implementation experiences, lessons learned, and sustainability outcomes
