My father, Carmine—affectionately known as Papa—was a steadfast figure in our lives, balancing discipline with an unwavering affection that made us feel safe and cherished. He instilled in me the importance of standing up for my beliefs and working diligently to achieve my goals, qualities that continue to guide me today. This month, we honor all fathers, whether biological, adoptive, or those who fill the role of a father figure—uncles, mentors, and even mothers who embody the essence of fatherhood.
