Join us on Sunday afternoon to celebrate the incredible work from the Weave In, Weave Out exhibition. There will be refreshments, a panel discussion, and looms available for a final chance to weave!

For a thoughtful insight into the world of Weave In, Weave Out, we are thrilled to share the following exhibition reviews by Pasquale Toscano and Lin Qiqing.

Weave In, Weave Out: Exhibition Review

By Pasquale Toscano for The Hopkins Review

Weavers who would otherwise be siloed off from one another can practice their craft in a purpose-built space, ensconced and empowered by the work of similarly marginalized bodyminds, in the company of friends and family, carers and community members, from across the range of somatopsychic existence. WIWO is thus an exhibit that constellates people, creatives, energy, and ideas in ways that rarely exist in an ableist sky—at least as I’ve come to know it, especially in the periods of acute incapacity I’ve experienced myself.

Weave In, Weave Out: Process as Practice

By Lin Qiqing

Collective making has long been embedded in textile traditions. The exhibition shifts emphasis away from polished works or technical skills, highlighting weaving as a medium where relationships, trust and care grow in a community setting.
