What's happening at St. Antoninus!
Next Sunday, November 23rd-
The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe.
Next Sunday we celebrate the Solemnity of Christ the King. There will be one Mass only at 10am.
After Mass, we will spend a brief time in praise, worship, and silent adoration, renew our commitment to Christ the King, and invoke a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit. We will then process outside on S. Orange Ave for our Eucharistic procession through Newark. The people of St. Ann’s/Transfiguration will join us at the procession, which will conclude at their church on 16th Ave. Please dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes

5. Neighborhood “Share a Meal” Thanksgiving Celebration:
Sponsored by the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal and their associates, this event will take place in the St. Antoninus church hall. The celebration begins at 10:30 AM with prayers, followed by a beautifully prepared sit-down Thanksgiving meal.
In past years, the CFRs and their associates distributed Thanksgiving food bags, but beginning last year, the gathering has grown into an elegant catered meal, complete with a live R&B band.
The friars and the CFR Associates will be serving throughout the day. If you would like to volunteer, please contact the parish office. See the flyer inside for details.
Thursday, November 27th
6. Our Thanksgiving Day Mass will be at 10am in the Rectory Chapel. “Eucharist” means thanksgiving, and coming to Mass draws us into a deeper, truer gratitude — a chance to thank God for every blessing of the past year and to rest in the certainty of His providence and care for us and our families.
Advent Begins in Two Weeks!
The season of Advent begins on Sunday, Nov 30, ushering in a new liturgical year (Year A) and inviting us into a season of prayerful preparation for the coming of the Lord.
7. Advent Parish Mission – “Waiting Well”
This year we begin an Advent Parish Mission using Fr. Mike Schmitz’s Waiting Well series—26 short daily videos on the Ascension App from Nov 30 to Dec 25. It is a simple at-home retreat requiring only 10–15 minutes a day for the video and journaling. More details inside.
