Saline County Treasurer Jim DuBois, in coordination with Kansas State Treasurer Steven Johnson, reminds residents that the first half of property taxes is due tomorrow, December 20th. To avoid penalties, taxpayers are encouraged to pay on time.
“Meeting your tax obligations on time is important not just to avoid penalties but also for supporting the vital public services that benefit our community,” DuBois explained.
In addition to the tax deadline, both Treasurers want to remind residents of the opportunity to reclaim any unclaimed property they might have. Residents can check for unclaimed property by visiting the Saline County Treasurer’s office or by searching online through the state's unclaimed property database.
