Pray for Peace this October | | |
October is traditionally a month dedicated to Mary, and in particular to her title as Our Lady of the Rosary. This month, Pope Leo XIV has invited all the faithful to pray the rosary every day for the intention of peace.
Yesterday, Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly asked every member to answer our Holy Father’s call and pray a daily rosary for peace. As a council leader, we encourage you to lead by example in answering this call and to promote daily rosaries for peace among your council members and within your parish communities.
Remember there are many resources available through Supplies Online to promote devotion to the rosary in your council and parish including “A Scriptural Rosary for the Family” (#319) and the “Rosary Program Kit” (SR – KIT).

REMINDER: MONTHLY COUNCIL SPOTLIGHT
Each month, as part of our FLA Live! Fraternal Webinar Series, we feature a council that is doing great things in the areas of membership growth, programs, evangelization, or faith formation. In order to keep this feature going we need to hear from you!
If you know of a council doing great things in their parish or community (including your own) please email us at fraternaltraining@kofc.org and let us know so we can put the spotlight on our outstanding councils. Not only is this a chance to be featured, but an opportunity to give other councils ideas and tips for success.

Imitating Saint Juan Diego – NEW PROGRAM!
As Knights of Columbus, whose patroness is Our Lady of Guadalupe, we are called to be her messengers, just as St. Juan Diego was throughout his life. The appearance of Our Lady of Guadalupe to St. Juan Diego led to the mass conversion of millions of indigenous people to the Catholic Faith and continues to serve as a means of evangelization today. Councils can teach others about their lives and status as powerful intercessors by organizing a traveling image of Our Lady of Guadalupe for families, by encouraging acts of popular piety, and by sharing other devotional materials with members and their parish communities. Click here for resources to run this program. Resources will also be available in the Faith in Action section of Supplies Online soon.
Holy Hour for Life with Our Lady of Guadalupe – NEW PROGRAM!
The Holy Hour for Life with Our Lady of Guadalupe calls upon councils to organize adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and a special prayer service to ask for Our Lady’s intercession for the pro-life cause. As Patroness of the unborn, Our Lady is a powerful advocate for those at-risk of abortion and all those involved in the cause of life. Through this Holy Hour, councils and their parishes can pray for a variety of intentions such as healing from infertility, defense of the unborn, care for mothers and families, and an end to the evil of abortion. Click here for resources to run this program. Resources will also be available in the Faith in Action section of Supplies Online soon.
