SE WI EMERGENCY SUPPORT GROUP UPDATES
GMAR member Rochelle Gamauf and her team at the SE WI Emergency Support group are still moving forward in their efforts to help those in need due to the coronavirus pandemic. Over the last 11 weeks, their services have been evolving to stay in compliance with necessary regulations. They will still be providing food, personal care and household items to those in need but the ways in which they will be providing those items will be changing just a little.

Rochelle is now arranging and packaging foods into pre-measured kits for the families so that they have exactly what they need to cook the meals themselves. The meal kits will be delivered to them with a recipe card to follow and a live video they could watch showing how to prepare the food. If possible, the support group would even like to set up zoom calls with the families to bring everyone together to cook.

Please help by making a donation through the GoFundMe page to help get the group into a larger space to prepare the meals. Our GMAR members have really stepped up and shown their support to their local communities and we hope to see this continue.

REAL TRENDS - JUNE 2020 NEWSLETTER
The Housing Market is Coming Back
'As of May, we already see signs that housing will be one of the economy's sectors that lead the way back. Looking at the earliest indicator - showing homes for sale - leads us to conclude that families' desire to adapt housing to their particular needs remains unwavering.'

NO SHOES, NO SHOWING!
Many sellers, even before COVID, asked that shoes be removed before entering their home. Since COVID, that request has become more common.

Many showing agents are uncomfortable removing their shoes, concerned for their own safety. Agents have reported stepping on nails, broken glass, and liquid, not certain of its origin!

It’s reasonable to want to keep your shoes on for your own safety. However, if the seller insists that you remove your shoes, you must remove your shoes if you want to see the property.

A good idea is for listing brokers to ask sellers if shoe covers would suffice. My guess is that many sellers would agree to that. Shoe covers can be purchased at Minuteman Press in Brookfield .

THE GMAR IS IN THE MIDST OF A SENTRILOCK LOCKBOX AUDIT
The GMAR is in the midst of conducting an audit of the SentriLock lockbox system. SentriLock has urged us to conduct an audit periodically, because, over time, some agents build up an excess of boxes compared to the number of listings they have had recently.

The GMAR has 9,000 lockboxes as part of its SentriLock lease. There are 8,443 in members’ hands, but only 2,785 on listings right now.

In order to assure that there are enough boxes to put on upcoming listings, the GMAR will be sending each member an email with the number of lockboxes they currently have in their possession and a request to return any that are not being used at this time.

If you have not yet received an email regarding this matter but you have lockboxes you wish to return, please do so. Our office is open from 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

We are very aware that listings may have slowed recently, and we will make every effort to make sure each member has an adequate number of boxes in the short-term, as well as access to additional boxes in the future.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation as we undertake our first SentriLock audit. If you have any questions, please contact Emily or Alberta .
