GMAR WEEKLY UPDATES
STATE BUDGET SIGNED INTO LAW
The WRA Successfully Lobbies for Real Estate-Friendly Wisconsin State Budget
On July 8, 2021, Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers signed the 2021-23 state budget into law. The recently passed budget includes several provisions that are beneficial for homeowners, taxpayers and REALTORS®, including:

  • A $650 million property tax cut for homeowners. Learn More
  • $225 million for broadband expansion in Wisconsin. Learn More
  • $5 million for DSPS tech upgrades to simplify online credentialing. Learn More
  • Removal of several proposals that would have been detrimental to real estate. Learn More

These victories were made possible through member advocacy efforts, including REALTOR® & Government Day, the Wisconsin Homeowners Alliance (WHA) and the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC). Your participation makes a real difference to your clients, customers and your personal business.

Historic tax cuts, greatly expanded broadband funding and lower property taxes. Sen. Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) discusses the recently passed state budget with the WRA's Tom Larson.

Claims against brokers’ errors and omissions insurance are on the rise, both in frequency and severity. Brokers should review their E&O policy for coverage in four areas and identify any coverage gaps that could leave them financially liable for unprotected losses.
We Need More Fans!
Not the GMAR, we have plenty of loyal fans!

Many veterans, transitioning from the streets to an apartment, or temporary living dwellings do so without basic home furnishings. Help keep our vets comfortable this summer.

Here's how you can help:
  • We will take new, or gently used fans at the GMAR office or directly at the MHVI - 6300 W National Ave, West Allis, WI 53214.
  • Make a check payable to "MVHI" and mail to Scott Bush at the GMAR.
  • $20.00 will count as one fan.
  • If you donate directly to MVHI, let Scott know so we can add your name/company to the challenge fan above.

Please contact Scott Bush if you have any questions.
