What Are Mask Policies for REALTORS® Now?
Coronavirus cases appear to be receding in Wisconsin in recent weeks and, as a result, many governmental bodies, businesses, etc. are eliminating their mask and distancing requirements. Yay!
But, what does that means for real estate? The bottom line is that the property owner gets the final decision. Some sellers may not be comfortable with a bunch of people traipsing through their property mask-less. So, we have to respect their decision and mask-up!
It is the sellers’ home and the sellers’ rules. To make things easier on everyone it is a good idea to add under private remarks on every listing whether or not a mask is required for showings.
Additionally, not following these instructions could result in negative media press and ethics complaints being filed. The public does not look favorably on our industry when rules are not followed.
Questions? Comments? Please let us know
We have seen a major increase in the use of SentriLock lockboxes in recent months. To-date, 83% of GMAR members have their credentials!
Due to this increase, more members are needing lockboxes and our office supply is starting to get low. Currently, there are 8,500 lockboxes assigned to members and only 3,327 of those are being used on listings. There are several members who were given lockboxes at the initial rollout in 2018 who are still not using them. Agents do not have to use the lockboxes, we just ask that those agents who do not plan to use their lockboxes return them so that we have enough in stock for others.

To make things easier, you can return the unused lockboxes to your office and we will be happy to come pick them up.
