Hello!

We know life get's busy, especially in the world of public transit! We're writing to remind you that as a PASS trainer, you have access to both of the brand-new PASS 8.0 components:

• PASS 8.0 Basic
• PASS 8.0 Wheelchair Securement and Lift/Ramp Operations

We are asking all current PASS Trainers to use the FREE access code and link below and review all of the PASS 8.0 content by December 10, 2025. After December 10th, PASS 7.0 material will not be available, and any classes taught with existing PASS 7.0 material will not be accepted. 

CTAA is hosting a webinar to address any questions you may have about PASS 8.0. These webinars will assume that you have completed the PASS 8 course material contained in this email. Please ensure you have reviewed all content related to the PASS 8 course before attending a webinar session.

The PASS 8 Basic online class is taught by Master Trainer Joe Seitz and follows the classroom format. 

To take both the PASS 8.0 Basic and PASS 8.0 Hands-on Wheelchair and Lift/Ramp Operations courses, CTAA is providing you with a FREE course using a link specifically for trainers, and the password:

Step 1: Navigate to the course link: https://shop.training.ctaa.org/certified-trainers-only-pass-8-basic-and-securement-materials/

Step 2: Enter the password: PASSTRAINER2025

Step 3: Enter your user information as prompted, and proceed through the registration process until you recieve confirmation that your registration is complete.

Step 4: Navigate to your course dashboard to begin the course. You can return to the course at any time using the standard Returning User Link.

Please do not share the links or code in this email with anyone else, these are just for current PASS trainers. Please note the certificates will be specially marked for trainers to confirm that you reviewed and tested the new PASS 8.0 course content.

You will stay on your current PASS Trainer recertification renewal cycle, so when your current official PASS 7 Trainer recertification expires, CTAA will contact you to renew your PASS Trainer certification. These specially marked PASS Trainer certificates are not part of the official PASS trainer recertification process.

The PASS 8.0 courses take the same amount of time as the current PASS 7 courses, however, all of the content and videos are refreshed and brand new.

The PASS Basic 8.0 course has two new topics:

1. Human Trafficking
2. Car/Booster seat requirements

The format has been updated to 19 modules and they are taught in 15 minute segments to help adult learners retain and be better prepared to test their knowledge of the new information. The PASS Wheelchair Securement with Lift/Ramp Operations continues to have five modules. 

Reminder: we are asking all current PASS Trainers to use the free access code and review all of the PASS 8.0 content by December 10th, 2025.
