Points to Ponder While You Wait

A Beautiful Mix!

Our lineup release is right around the corner on Valentine's Day, the best of the year! It'll be a beautiful mix of traditional and contemporary bluegrass, Celtic, Cajun, Quebecois, Old Time, and more on six stages. We'll welcome artists from Canada, Ireland, and Germany as well as dozens of groups "from California to the New York island," as Woody Guthrie's anthem goes. Wait 'til you hear who our Artist-in-Residence will be! And about our very special tributes! And this year's Emerging Artists! What's not to love?

TICKET DEADLINE FEB 13

Our Friends & Family Ticket ($290) continues thru Feb 13. That's $60 off the gate price and includes camping Wednesday-Sunday. Kids 12 and under are free with ticketed adult. February 14, tickets will increase to $310 ($40 off gate price). Day ticket sales will also go live on Feb 14. Please note: Weekend vehicle passes, based on length, are additional and as Lisa urges, purchase them when you buy your festival ticket to avoid an extra service charge! See our ticket page for details. TICKETS

So, What's Grey Fox All About, Anyway?

The other day, a Grey Fox fan wrote: "If you've been to Grey Fox, you know. You know what it's all about... a community of friendly, welcoming people who love great music, the outdoors, and sharing space and time together. It's about people gathering with old friends and meeting new ones. It's about faces from all over the world. It's about dancing and demos and workshops. It's about jamming 'til the wee hours. It's about the Family Stage and the Bluegrass Academy for Kids. It's about unwinding and being yourself. And once you go, you know you want to be there every year." (Ken, from Wilmington, DE)

Grey Fox Bluegrass Academy for Kids: Since 1999, we have taught kids to play bluegrass music one chord, one run, one verse at a time. Each year, kids immerse themselves in our free music camp held during the festival. Some students have gone on to become nationally touring artists, such as Maya deVitry and Kaia Kater. Others have become teachers. Some BGA Grads return each year to teach in the program. For some, the lightbulb goes on in their heads and their lives take an unexpected direction. We just learned of a student whose very first public singing was in the kids academy, and this fall, he'll be entering college to major in voice and theater. Programs like this make a difference over and over again. Consider supporting the academy. DONATE TODAY.

OUR HOST BAND The Dry Branch Fire Squad, led by Ron Thomason, has been our host band since the festival's inception back in the 80s. They've enchanted their fans with their unforgettable music and Ron's inimitable storytelling. We welcome then with open arms once again and look forward to their rousing performances.

Happy early Valentine's Day from all of us at Grey Fox
