Welcome to the new Pepperoncini Restaurant & Bar!

H PED would like to welcome Pepperoncini’s Restaurant & Bar to their new location in Haverford Township. Tommy DeFruscio, the owner and chef of this Italian restaurant located at 25 South Eagle Road, grew up in Broomall and now lives in Havertown with his wife Judy DeFruscio, a 1st grade teacher from Manoa Elementary, and their daughter.
Tommy worked his way up in the restaurant business, starting as a dishwasher, busboy, server, and bartender until he finally became a chef in the kitchen. Fourteen years ago, at the age of just 25 he opened his first restaurant, Pepperoncini’s!

Standing Ovation Award
We need your help to select our annual Standing Ovation Award recipient. The HPED Standing Ovation Award is presented to a business of the highest standards, offering exceptional customer service, an attractive, welcoming environment, and engagement in the community life of Haverford Township. Our awards will be given out at our Annual Meeting on October 22.

All community members are eligible to nominate up to three Haverford Township businesses. Winner selected by popular vote. Nominate your favorite coffee shop, your local dentist, mechanic or any first-rate business that you feel really enhances life in Haverford Township. Businesses who have won in the past are not eligible to win again for 3 years. Previous winners include Kettle and Brick & Brew. Email Amy at [email protected] with your three nominations by Sept 15th.
Green Business Award
The Green Business Award will be given to a business who has shown a commitment to environmental sustainability. The award will be presented at our Annual Meeting on October 22nd. Recipient will be selected by representatives from HPED and the Environmental Advisory Committee. Businesses may self-nominate or be nominated by the committee.

We'll be considering many facets of your business such as lighting types, storm water management, use of sustainable materials, renewable energy and bike racks for customers and staff. Businesses usually implement sustainability step by step over time...even if you are only doing one or two things that environmentally friendly, we want to hear about it! Please make your nomination by emailing Jeanne at [email protected] with reasons for your nomination.
