The Healthcare Facilities Network is the YouTube channel that focuses exclusively on healthcare facilities management. The Healthcare Facilities Network (HFN) is a grassroots, collaborative effort. The Network was created and initiated by Gosselin/Martin Associates to help promote the unique discipline of Healthcare Facilities Management.

Unfortunately and alarmingly, healthcare facilities management is losing experienced professionals rapidly. You know that this concerning trend will continue.

HFN's mission is to inform, educate, and increase awareness that this rewarding career is open and available to all. From the trades to leadership, we want to fill the pipeline with new and prospective employees. Please help us promote this critical discipline by subscribing to HFN and spreading the word!

Onsite at MetroHealth

The Healthcare Facilities Network went to MetroHealth in Cleveland, OH, to sit down with Metro Vice President of Facilities and Construction Karen Dethloff (click the picture above to watch the segment).

Karen and her colleagues at Metro recently opened an 11-story, 316-bed new hospital on the same campus as their old hospital. We discuss new construction, old buildings, and exciting career paths with Karen. Thanks to Karen for her time.

Healthcare FMs answer: What do we do?

The Healthcare Facilities Network aims to increase awareness that healthcare facility management's rewarding and stable career is open and available to all.

So in this video, we ask a straightforward question: What does a Healthcare Facility Manager do? The answer is simple: A lot!

Now a 35-minute conversation cannot convey all of their responsibility, there are some significant areas we did not even touch on, but you will get a sense of scale and scope. Filling the Pipeline & Generations

Filling the Pipeline is a collaborative group effort of the Healthcare Facilities Network to promote and attract new employees to healthcare facilities management. Our first roundtable discussions will appear on the Network in June.

Also, look for our conversation with Vince Patton about leadership, imagination, and innovation. Vince served as the 8th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard from May 1998 until he retired from more than 30 years of active Coast Guard service in November 2002. Vince is always enlightening.
