Celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month!
This month we're honoring Asian Pacific American Heritage Month with several programs that celebrate the diversity of Asia and the Pacific Islands.
If cooking is your passion, check out South Asian Spice Mixing on May 17, an awesome opportunity to create a Sri Lankan spice blend with the help of Mary Anne Mohanraj, author of the cookbook, "A Feast of Serendib." If you prefer board games, try Mahjong for Beginners on May 18, a tile-based game that remains popular in the Asian community! We also have programs perfect for the history buff in your family, including our Brown Bag Lecture: Hidden Memory- An American World War II Story and a film discussion of "Far East Deep South" on May 19 and May 21, respectively.
