Reps. Kuster, Kelly, Welch and Pingree Reintroduce BTU Act of 2021 in the House
Greetings!

On May 14, Representatives Kuster (D-NH), Kelly (R-PA), Welch (D-VT) and Pingree (D-ME) reintroduced the Biomass Thermal Utilization Act of 2021 (HR3251) to the House of Representatives. The Senate introduced its version of the BTU Act, S1191, on April 20.

Now that the BTU Act has been reintroduced in both chambers, the BTU Act Coalition is working to gain additional co-sponsors in the House and Senate. The BTU Act already enjoys bipartisan support, but we need you to join the coalition and contact your representatives and senators to urge them to cosponsor the BTU Act.

All coalition members are listed on the BTU Act Fact sheet, so sign-up today to show your support! Our Coalition members so far are listed below.

If you have any questions about the BTU Act, joining the Coalition and/or need assistance in contacting your representatives, contact Peter Thompson at peter.thompson@biomassthermal.org.

We appreciate your support for the BTU Act and look forward to working with you all to push the full BTU Act over the finish line.

Best,

Peter Thompson | BTEC Deputy Director
