• Rain or shine, the event will go on. We have events inside, such as the wonderful food and drink options, as well as outside, including the performance of our own Solomonshire Players.
• We have food from around the globe, with dozens of countries represented in this all-volunteer event. Tickets are $1 each, with all funds going towards our Solomon PTO. Come with an empty stomach!
• New this year: A prize raffle of different items is available for a nominal charge, and tomorrow might be your lucky night! All proceeds go towards our Solomon PTO.
• Last year's International Night helped to fund our arts enrichment programming, including visual arts and dance instruction, throughout the year for all students PK to 8th. Your purchase of tickets help contribute to our school-wide programming!
• Last year was the first year that water guns and water fights were banned, and it was successful in keeping our students safer. We will continue with that policy again this year, so I thank you in advance for reminding your child and helping to keep everyone safe.
• Please remember to be good neighbors for our surrounding neighborhood. Throwing away trash and staying on Solomon's property shows respect for our neighbors.
• We are celebrating during the day as well. Tomorrow is Flag Friday, the final day of Spirit Week, with students encouraged to come to school in clothes representing the colors of their national heritage. Additionally, we will have 2 performances of our Asian American Heritage Dance and Fashion Show. The performances are at 9:30 and 10:30 in our gymnasium. Families and community members are invited to attend, though there are limited seats for each performance since our student body is watching the event as well.
