BRITISH COLUMBIA #250
CANCELLATION MOOSE/MULE DEER COMBO
Due to a family emergency, one of our clients will not be able to do this hunt that he booked back in August of 2017, so you get his great price of $3,950 USD for a 7-day 2x1 guided moose/mule deer combo. Includes cabin accommodations with full amenities. You will be paired with another Hunt Nation client. There will be 4 hunters in total in camp, all clients of Hunt Nation.
Now these hunts are for average moose, or “meat” moose. We do not consider this a trophy moose hunt, although you are free to shoot whatever you happen to see, be it 20” or 40”. There are fair numbers of mule deer here too, but you will concentrate on moose. However, buying the $150 deer tag is a no-brainer. Then you are free to take one if you see one (4-point minimum restriction in place). No extra cost!

The outfitter has a new area to add to his old area, and he feels that with the solid moose population there, success should be very good. He now has a good number of moose allocations, and with the strength of the US dollar against Canada’s, he can now offer these hunts at an attractive price. And we think this a real bargain! A full 7 days of hunting, good success, a solid outfitter, two possible animals, and you get to see beautiful BC as well. And do it all for under $4,000! It’s a great way to fill your freezer with tasty moose meat.

You hunt by driving logging roads, rough trails, etc., and stopping and glassing clear cuts and swamps for moose. Some light walking mixed in – not too physically demanding.

COST: $3,950 USD for a 7-day 2x1 guided moose/mule deer combo.
DATES: September 24-30, 2018 (arrive Sept. 23, leave Oct. 1) ONLY ONE OPENING
EXTRAS: 5% tax, Hunting Licenses and Tags (approx. $450 CAD plus $150 CAD for deer tag)
NEW MEXICO #84
DISCOUNTED COW ELK HUNTS (LIMITED TIME OFFER)
We have worked with this outstanding outfitter for many years, almost from his very beginnings. Butch and Joan have both killed a number of elk with him, and we have sent him well over 150 clients over the years. He is an outfitter that specializes in quality, personalized service and big-time adventure. A bonus is that the outfitter’s pricing is among the best.
He is full on bull elk hunts for this year (book now for 2019 as it will fill up soon as well!), but he does have a bunch of landowner vouchers for cow elk hunts. You will be hunting about 2 hours west of Albuquerque, in a huge private land area of 135,000 acres that covers three game management units. Elk do very well here with its mild climate and moderate terrain. There is very low hunting pressure, due to the combined huge area. And these are physically easy, high-success elk hunts (very close to 100% on cow elk)!

His cow elk hunts were already very reasonable at $1,595, but he has now reduced them for this season to just $1,395 per person 2x1, as he has an abundance of landowner vouchers, BUT YOU MUST BOOK BY SEPTEMBER 30! He supplies lodging and a kitchen, and you handle your own meals or go to town to eat. Hunts are 3 days, but are usually over in 1-2 days. Cow elk licenses are $430.

If you want a fun hunt and a bunch of lean, healthy, nutritious and delicious meat for the freezer this winter, call us now to book this affordable hunt.

DATES: Nov. 3-5 (1 spot only), Nov. 10-12, Nov. 17-19, Dec. 1-3, and 5-7.
NEBRASKA #80
SEMI-GUIDED ARCHERY WHITETAILS
This outfitter hunts nearly 30,000 acres – all private and all carefully managed for quality deer. He has access to a 15-mile stretch of river bottom and plains along the Niobrara River in northern Nebraska, as well as other property, and this area produces some terrific bucks. Butch, Joan and Ed from our office have all hunted here numerous times and can attest that this area has lots of great bucks.

It is usually very difficult to get clients in with this outfitter, as his repeat business is very high, and this year is no exception. However, he does have ONE REMAINING OPENING for 2 hunters (must be a group of 2) for a semi-guided archery hunt November 1-7, 2018. Multiple stands are pre-set, and the outfitter will show hunters the property and stand locations. You will be staying in a neat and clean ranch house with full kitchen and will be the only archery hunters on the property.

$2,950 per person, including lodging but no meals provided.
ALASKA #51
KODIAK ISLAND BROWN BEARS & BLACKTAIL DEER
We have worked with this Alaska Master Guide and outfitter for about 12 years, during which time he has consistently yielded excellent results with happy customers. We like the fact that he personally guides nearly all of his hunts! Success has been 100% or very close to it for several years.
He has great Sitka blacktail deer hunting. He has taken the Alaska Professional Hunting Association’s biggest deer award many times. He also has the #3 world record. We think his deer price is a bargain! He has room for 2 deer hunters this November 4-11 for just $4,000 per person.
You can also add some sea duck hunting, and maybe even some halibut and salmon fishing from his 40’ charter boat, which is big, warm and comfortable. If you are still looking for a hunt for this fall, this is a very affordable way to experience wild and wonderful Alaska.

Now if you are looking for something a little bigger, how about the largest carnivores on Earth? He has room for some Kodiak/brown bear hunters this coming spring. Bear numbers have been on a steady upswing on Kodiak for at least the last 7 to 10 years, so this is the time to go! We consider him to be about the best there is on the island. This is one of the world’s best and most classic bear hunts, and this guy takes bears that consistently exceed 9’, and he can average 9.5’ in a good year! And the 10-footers are there as well. It's a draw hunt, with around a 60%-80% chance of drawing (we think it will be on the higher side this year), and a kill rate in the 90% range.

  • Season is late April to mid-May. $16,000 tent camp hunt, $19,000 lodge hunt, 1x1. The application deadline is December 15.
NEW ZEALAND #248
CHAMOIS, TAHR AND GIANT RED STAG!!
This outfitter has possibly the biggest and best free range red stags anywhere on the South Island (seeing 6-10 mature stags a day is common), and giant estate stags up to 600+ inches SCI are available too. Outstanding tahr and chamois hunts as well, either alone or in combination with red stag. 90%-100% success on all 3 species. Elk, fallow deer, whitetail deer, sika deer, sambar deer, rusa deer, feral goats, Arapawa rams, wild boar, American bison, small game, waterfowl, upland birds, wild turkey, and great fishing also available.
Hunt some of the most beautiful scenery on Earth (much of the Lord of the Rings movies were filmed here), with lots to see and do for the whole family. What a great adventure and vacation! We have sent dozens of happy clients here, as he has simply some of the best deals in New Zealand:

Silver Medal Stag up to 350” SCI ONLY $5,750 for 3-day hunt. INCREDIBLE DEAL! You get your lodging, your meals, 1x1 guiding, and your trophy fee for your big stag all included. Any stag up to 350”, and most will be 330+”. We honestly feel he offers the best deal in New Zealand. This is cheaper than many high quality elk hunts in the U.S.

Silver Medal Red Stag/Tahr Combo $9,800. This hunt is for 5 days and it includes red stag (expect 320”-350” class) and tahr. This price is for a walking/hiking tahr hunt. If you prefer, you can add a helicopter to get to the tahr at extra cost. Comparable hunts will cost you $6,000-$6,500 just for a single stag to 350”! And trophy fees on tahr are often in the $4,000 range or a bit more, plus helicopter if used. So this hunt remains at least $2,000 below the competition!

Free Range Stag, Tahr and Chamois Combo ONLY $12,500 for all 3 species! This hunt is 7 days. You may take one trophy red stag between SCI 300” and SCI 350” (equivalent to a High Silver medal). Also included is one trophy tahr hunted on foot, no helicopter required, so reasonably good fitness is a must. And then you hunt for your chamois on foot, but you get dropped off at the higher elevation by helicopter into the hunting area. Includes guiding, meals, lodging and trophy fees.

SELECTION OF HUNTING & FISHING ADVENTURES FOR 2018 & 2019
ALBERTA #286
BIG SPRING BLACK BEARS
This small family-owned operation in central Alberta approached us early in 2018 about working with them to market their drive-to spring black bear hunts. After speaking with the outfitter at length, and after all of their references gave glowing reviews, we gladly signed them on, and they had a terrific 2018 hunt with 100% success!

They hunt a vast parcel of Crown land in WMU #338 that is about 2,000 square miles, most of which is bush, and have the exclusive outfitting rights for bears. The bears here commonly reach 7ft.+ in size, and they have some color phase as well. Hunting is over bait from treestands or ground blinds, and you can use rifle, muzzleloader, bow or crossbow. A wolf can also be taken at no extra charge. They also have some great pike and walleye fishing nearby, at no extra charge.

Price is $3,500 USD for 6 days, + $500 USD for 2nd bear. Includes 2x1 guiding, delicious home-cooked meals, and modern accommodations. Licenses are just $275 and include a wolf tag.
DATES: Throughout May 2019
ALASKA #181
HIGH SUCCESS CARIBOU DROP CAMP
We have been working with this charter service for about 14 years. The one thing that distinguishes them from most other services we know of is their incredible attention to detail. All too often on “DIY” hunts in Alaska, folks leave their homes with only a hazy idea of what to expect. They show up with improper and unsafe clothing, sleeping bags, etc. They think they know what to expect, then the surprises start! Not with this top-notch outfit. They will send you tons of info, and if you have anything wrong, it will be simply because you did not read the materials! They also supply all your food and camp gear, which is also different from some operations. You just show up with your license, and your personal and hunting gear, and hunt!
These hunts are based out of Kotzebue and you will be hunting the Western Arctic Herd, which is the largest in Alaska with about 260,000 animals. The camps are mobile and are relocated between hunts as the herd moves along its migration route, to ensure you of the highest chance for success. They make every effort to assure clients will be placed in areas that are productive. Hunter success has been traditionally very high (including bulls and cows) over the last 30 years or so. But every so often the animals just do not show up, and that can happen, as the hunt is very weather-dependent.

They fly nearly daily and monitor the herds in the area. Most hunters will see good numbers of animals, including trophy class bulls. There is a 1-caribou limit, and you can take a wolf for no extra charge (other than license). There is good grayling and Arctic char fishing too.

$3,950 for 7 days (but you can’t hunt until the day after arriving, so 6-day hunts), plus license.
DATES: 2019 is filling up already, but they still have scattered availability from August 17 to September 23, so call us today for exact dates.

 WHAT WE DO FOR YOU:
In today’s frantic paced world, TIME is the major commodity we all are lacking in our personal lives. Time for family, time for friends, time to pursue your sporting interests. Finding a quality outfitter takes precious time away from family and business. So what do you do? Imagine then, that instead of dealing with this, you simply make a SINGLE phone call to a clearinghouse of information, the professional booking agent. We have tens of thousands of hours invested into trying to find the better trips. Booking your trip through a professional at Hunt Nation certainly ups your odds dramatically. While your agent cannot possibly control exactly what happens on your particular trip, he does know what that outfitters overall record is. The best of outfitters can fail to get you your trophy, but always remember that the agent is working to stack opportunity in your favor– and finding you the better opportunities is what we do.
