Greetings,
I am excited to share that we have a new leader on our team. Monica Pritchard joined the firm as our Chief Operating Officer. She has spent more than 30 years leading in the professional services, management consulting and manufacturing industries. Monica has taken over the reins from Bill Traywick, who we wish many "holes in ones" in retirement! We truly appreciate all Bill has done for the firm and he will be missed.
More States Asking to Eliminate Retroactive Medicaid Benefits...
Will Michigan be Next?
Arizona and Florida are the latest states to request a waiver from the requirement that states provide three months of retroactive Medicaid coverage to eligible Medicaid recipients.  Medicaid law allows a Medicaid applicant to be eligible for benefits for up to three months before the month of the application if the applicant met eligibility requirements at the earlier time. This helps people who are unexpectedly admitted to a nursing home and can't file -- or are unaware that they should file -- a Medicaid application right away. Read More
Part of the Life Planning we do, is designing the Trusts to accept retirement fund assets. Did you know most Trusts are not designed this way? This could result in your beneficiaries not receiving the maximum protection allowed and may lead to accelerated taxation. Learn some of the rules and concerns when designating retirement account beneficiaries. Read More
Jason Herzog - One of "The Team" Serving Our Families
J ason is a key team member on our Client Services team and handles almost every file, ensuring they are accurately and efficiently processed through our system. I asked Jason to share why he enjoys working with the firm.
"I enjoy it because of the people that I get to work with. Everyday I come to work with a great group of people who are committed to helping the families we serve. Being in Client Services makes it easy to see how our different departments work together to make a difference in all of our families lives. Many of our families come to us in difficult and unique situations. After meeting with one of experts, our families are able to leave our office relieved and confident that we will be able to make the best their situation. Witnessing first hand how we are able to help so many different people makes me look forward to coming to work everyday."
