Governor Hochul Announces Another Record Year at State Parks |
Governor Kathy Hochul has announced state parks, historic sites, campgrounds and trails operated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation saw a record 84.1 million visits in 2023. Total visits statewide surged by nearly 4.7 million, a 6 percent increase, compared to the previous record year in 2022 – underscoring Governor Hochul'scommitment to expanding access to parks and outdoor recreation as the park system marks its 100th anniversary in 2024.
