Are you or someone you know starting college in the fall? Maybe you’re a current student and returning to school? The American Legion Auxiliary offers national scholarships to deserving young students. All you need to do is apply. 

Children of Warriors National Presidents’ Scholarship
Fifteen $5,000 scholarships are awarded annually (three per geographic division), to direct descendants of veterans who served in the Armed Forces during eligibility dates for membership in The American Legion.

Spirit of Youth Scholarship
Five $5,000 scholarships (one per geographic division) are awarded each year to ALA Junior members.

Non-Traditional Student Scholarship
Five $2,000 scholarships are awarded (one per geographic division) to a member of The American Legion Family returning to school after a break in studies.

Junior Member Loyalty Scholarship
New to the 2019-2020 ALA administrative year, 10 of these $2,500 scholarships (two per geographic division) will be awarded to current college students who retained their ALA Junior membership into adulthood.

All applications should be submitted to a local American Legion Auxiliary unit by March 1.
