Delta ISB Seeks Public Comments on

Draft Prospectuses on Subsidence and Food Webs

As a reminder, the Delta Independent Science Board is seeking input on its recently published draft prospectuses for the following upcoming thematic reviews.

- Managing subsidence in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta: Subsidence causes significant challenges related to the Delta’s levees, flood risk, agriculture, water quality, and more. This review will synthesize and evaluate the state of science and provide recommendations to inform and guide ongoing and future subsidence management.

- Exploring scientific and management implications of upper trophic level interactions in Delta food webs: Food web interactions are central to understanding how environmental drivers and management actions affect the abundance of individual species in the Delta. This review will assess the importance of interactions at the top of the food web and identify where improved understanding and tools might improve predictions of species’ responses.
