Spring and Summer @NIAM
' Taste of India' food walk journeys are sold out!
As part of our summer engagement and efforts to reach diverse communities each year, NIAM docents conduct  Taste of India  guided tours through the popular Devon Avenue market place. With three sold-out tours this year, NIAM’s  Taste of India  has established a reputation as a rich and immersive exploration of Indian American history and culture through its cuisine.  " We really enjoyed the food and the presentations by docents were very informative," said a participant who was especially enthusiastic about his one-bite  pani puri experience.

Discussions about community life and regional diversity in food and traditions enhance taste sensations on NIAM’s food walk journeys down Devon.  #NIAMinspire

NIAM's Gandhi Peace Project is off to a great start!
Thanks to our wonderful supporters, NIAM earned a permanent spot on the Global Giving Platform where eligible non-profits can fundraise globally. Our  Gandhi Peace Project will build on our Ethnic Dialogue program and use Gandhi's teachings to promote peace and nonviolence in local schools.

In order to qualify for a permanent place on the Global Giving site we had to raise $5000 in two weeks from 40 donors and  with your help  we did it. 79 of you pitched in and helped us raise $10,041 so far! #NIAMrocks

This is an exceptional opportunity to support NIAM’s work in making heritage a relevant and active force for the better in contemporary life.
