STEP SYSTEM REPLACED WITH PAY RANGES EFFECTIVE DEC. 1
UPDATED WAGE INCREASE POLICY COMING SOON
Dear Options for Learning staff,

As a reminder, effective Dec. 1, our step system has been eliminated and replaced with pay ranges. Classroom positions have been consolidated to be consistent across the organization, and pay ranges have been standardized for each position as outlined in the chart below. This change will eliminate the issues present in our current step system and will allow our organization to recruit and retain experienced teaching staff and pay them accordingly.
In addition to implementing pay ranges, we are introducing a merit-based wage increase system. To achieve this, future COLA amounts provided by our funders will be split into two buckets: a COLA bucket and a merit-based increase bucket. All staff will be given the designated COLA and will have the ability to earn a merit-based increase. As shared during the November Chief Chats, our goal is to reward employees based on performance.

We are working diligently to finalize our new wage increase system and will share the updated process once it is available. To review information shared during the November Chief Chats regarding changes to our wage increase system, visit the Chief Chats webpage on the employee portal. For questions regarding pay ranges or wage increases, please email hr@optionsforlearning.org.
Sincerely,
The Human Resources Department
