Re: Activities Pausing for Alpha Financials Cut-over

Hello, campus colleagues,
As the Alpha Financials project nears the Dec. 8 cut-over period, here is an update and reminder about impacted systems* and activities that will pause as we convert to the cutting-edge processes based on Oracle Cloud technology.
Our earlier message detailed systems and transactions that will have limited to no functionality between Dec. 8 and Jan. 4 (see table below). During this time, almost 1 million records will be transferred from the legacy system at UCLA to Oracle and new functionalities will be enabled.
Limited exceptions to paused processes will be made for critical business activities, such as contracts and grants, gifts and endowments, or emergency purchases. There also will be some downtime during the cut-over process for systems that interface with the UCLA system, including GLAAS and Banner, to allow the new interfaces to be put in place when the Oracle system goes live on Jan. 4, 2021.
