Hi There,
Start the school year off right with some fun events this month designed for students in middle and high school. Plus, take advantage of the Library's resources to make your year better, including homework, research, and college search help.

Are you a middle or high schooler in Greenwich? Want to learn about the services the Library offers to 6th-12th graders, or just want to hangout and enjoy snacks, crafts, video games, and books? Join us at the Teen Library Open House Hangout! Teen Services staff will be on hand to share information about teen programs, books, and more. For middle and high school aged students in Grades 6-12. Registration required. Sign up and visit anytime between 3pm-5pm.

Players will participate in strategy based games using painted miniature figures and terrain boards reminiscent of some famous conflicts in history. This month, play as American Marines or German infantry as their two armies clash at the Battle of Belleau Wood, a famous encounter during World War One. All experience levels are welcome, including beginners. For students who are enrolled in grades 6-12.

Parents and teens, come get information on how to ace your college application essays, including your main “Personal Statement” and the supplemental “Why Us?” essays. Highlights include: Why the essay is so important for admissions, what makes for a great essay topic, common mistakes to avoid, plus case studies of essays that worked. 30-minute presentation by College Admissions Expert David Wtorkowski of Big Green College Prep followed by Q&A. For both parents and teens preparing for college. Registered attendance is on ZOOM.
