GVHS Youth Contest Time!!

In the 2022 Kids Edition of The Vanner magazine, pages 16 & 17 featured 10th Anniversary Edition Scavenger Hunt Crossword Puzzles. Finding answers to all of the clues will take you through all previous editions of The Vanner magazine, since it's inception in 2013. You can browse through your print copies or access the past editions online at https://vanners.org/thevanner/

NOTE: There was a typo on page 16 Start Position & Clue. B12 Overall High Point Gypsy Vanner Champion should be start position B1.

The first three GVHS Youth Members to submit the completed crossword puzzles (scan or take a photo) to the GVHS office via email: GVHS@Vanners.org will win a prize! Be sure to include your name and contact information with your submission.

If you do not have your copy of the 2022 edition available but would like to participate in this contest, we have placed a pdf of these crossword puzzles at the link above so that you can download.

Answers to all quizzes and puzzles from the 2022 Kids Edition will be published on the GVHS website once the prizes are awarded.

GVHS Board of Directors Election

This fall the GVHS will have a Board of Directors election. There is one director seat expiring on December 31, 2022. The new term will serve January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2025.

If you qualify and would like to be considered as a candidate for this election you need to have your nomination form, signed code of ethics form, one page bio and photo to gvhs@vanners.org

The deadline for nominations is October 1st, 2022.

GVHS Executive Officers

GVHS Executive Officers are elected annually by the Board of Directors.

If you would like to be considered for a position as President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer during 2023, please send your resume to gvhs@vanners.org no later than December 15th, 2022.

The Vanner 2023

Going into its second decade of publication, the Gypsy Vanner Horse Society is pleased to offer its members and breed enthusiasts an official annual yearbook for the Gypsy Vanner Horse and the Society. The publication is The Vanner and the 2023 edition will be ready for distribution early summer 2023. This high quality, full color publication will be showcased in the homes of readers throughout the year!

This year’s theme is The Gypsy Vanner: Family, Fun and Friendship. Where there is a Gypsy Vanner horse involved, you can be sure that family, friends, and Vanners, are all having FUN! In this edition we will feature stories of how Gypsy Vanner horses bring people together for special moments with family and cementing friendships, both old and new.
