What Do Changes in Visual Perception
Tell Us About Schizophrenia?

Approximately two-thirds of people with schizophrenia report changes in visual
perception  (e.g.changes in brightness, color, depth, shape of objects),especially
early in the course of illness. In addition, many lab studies have demonstrated visual
processing changes in schizophrenia. How are we to understand all of these changes?
How are they related to symptoms? Is assessing for visual changes useful clinically?
