Gateway Connector
The online newsletter for Virginia's Gateway Region
December 2021
Update from the President & CEO
Friends of the Gateway Region, my hope is that everyone in our service area enjoyed a much-needed Christmas break, and as the New Year approaches, spend quality time together and create everlasting memories with your loved ones.

Next, I want to highlight positive news regarding a few of our region's economic development leaders. First, I want to acknowledge: Jeff Stoke, who was recently promoted to serve as Interim County Administrator for the County of Prince GeorgeStacey English, for being promoted as Prince George County's Interim Director of Economic Development & Tourism; Tabitha Taylor, who officially began her new position as Executive Director of the Crater Workforce Development Board; as well as VGR's close partner, Alec Brebner, Executive Director of the Crater Planning District Commission, who gave a presentation on the "State of the Crater District" to the VGR Board of Directors, earlier this month.

We look forward to working with these four economic and workforce development leaders to foster regional prosperity through business growth, powerful partnerships and delivering resources to our communities.

As always, I’m interested in hearing from you. Should you have any questions, please contact me at: (804) 732-8971 or [email protected]. You may also contact Amy Everett, at: (804) 704-0268 or [email protected]
