Dear Band Fan family and friends,
This is a reminder to join us for the all-parent meeting on Wednesday night at 6:30 pm. We are still looking for a location with air conditioning in the school. I will send an email on Wednesday with the location and have some band students there to direct you to the location. Directly following this meeting will be a Band Booster meeting. We hope you'll stay to learn more. We could really use some help this year, especially given the current situation in our district.
Important things:

We ask every family to donate one family-sized or larger snack box and one case of water/juice boxes. Please bring them Wednesday night.

Medical, Travel and Liability forms are due. (Linked at the bottom of the email)

If you have not made a second payment, those are due.

Fundraising: We can no longer count on the small amount of support we received from the school district. It costs about $50,000 a year to keep the band programs going. I am sure you are aware that prices for everything are increasing. We have cut back on many items and will continue to adjust so we can deliver a great program to these students. The Booster organization supports all West band programs, including Color Guard and Winter Guard.

We need a Treasurer. This requires some financial knowledge and approximately 2 hours a week. We have a co-treasurer so you will not be alone. Please stay afterward and speak with a Band Booster if you're able to help.

We were next in line for new uniforms. They were postponed until this year, and given the situation, we will not see those uniforms from the school. Our uniforms are falling apart. We need people to help fix them. Buttons are falling off, and they need some TLC. If you have the ability to sew or are willing to try, we would love to have more help.
There are so many areas that need attention—we need you now more than ever! Please consider staying afterward and joining the Band Boosters this school year. It truly takes a village, and ours could use a few more helping hands!
