Reminder of Public Review Period:
Draft 2022-2026 Science Action Agenda

Developed by and for the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta science community, the Science Action Agenda (SAA) prioritizes and aligns science actions to meet management needs, fosters collaboration and coordination, and guides science funding for the Delta.

Please provide your feedback on the draft SAA to the Delta Science Program by 5:00 PM on January 21, 2022 by email to SAA@deltacouncil.ca.gov or mail to 715 P Street, 15-300, Sacramento, CA 95814. The Delta Science Program will consider input from the review period when revising the final SAA, anticipated by spring 2022.
Delta Lead Scientist Dr. Laurel Larsen's December Ask Me Anything Instagram Live focused on the draft 2022-2026 SAA and why Governor Newsom’s Water Resilience Portfolio cites the SAA as a model for other regions to follow. A recording of her discussion with Senior Environmental Scientist Rachael Klopfenstein
is available on IGTV.

The inaugural SAA was developed for 2017-2021. To prepare for the second iteration, the Delta Science Program hosted a Science Actions Workshop in July. Participants identified efforts that would be responsive to the region's most pressing management needs, which were identified in 2020.
The SAA is a four-year science plan for the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. It prioritizes and aligns science actions to inform management decisions, fills gaps in knowledge, promotes collaborative science, builds the science infrastructure, and achieves the objectives of the Delta Science Plan.
