It's been about a month since all members of record received this letter and a book of "Luck of the Irish" raffle tickets in the mail. We are on our way to achieving our goal, thanks to all those who have purchased one or more raffle tickets and/or made a gift of any size to this critical fundraiser for our 2023-2024 Fiscal Year, which closes on March 31.

Don't miss YOUR chance to win $6,000 in prizes -- send in your completed raffle ticket(s) and payment today!


If you desire an additional book of tickets or know someone who would like to enter for a chance to win, please email NewportIrishHistory@gmail.com with the full name and mailing address of the person requesting tickets and we'll mail them right out.


All completed tickets and payments should arrive by Friday, March 15, for the Wednesday March 20 drawing, which will take place at the conclusion of the last talk of the 22nd Annual Lecture Series (details arriving in your mailbox shortly and will be posted on our website "Lectures" page).

Past Museum Lecture Series guest speaker, Dr. Elizabeth Stack, will return to Rhode Island on Friday, March 1 at 6:00 p.m. to present the 3rd Annual Providence College Murphy Healy Lecture in Irish Culture.


Dr. Stack, the newly appointed Executive Director of the American Irish Historical Society, will present a talk titled:


"Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears: Ireland's Immigration Story"


The annual series is made possible through the generosity of

John M. Murphy, Sr., '19 Hon. Dr. Stack's talk, which will be followed by a lovely reception, is free and open to the public, but reservations are required.

The Membership Year is coming to a close and a number of members remain lapsed in their dues for the
