As we get ready for a great 2018-2019 school year,
here are a few hints to help things go smoothly!

Family Resources:

You are and always will be the most important person in your child's learning journey! Here are some resources to help you help them !

(Ok, these aren't really apps, but this is a list of great tips for parents and families to help students learn after the school day ends!)
We are tweaking the website and some items will move. Here is how to find Skyward.

Skyward Portal - Link to it from any page.
When you are on the School District website, look to the right. There is a set of icons, some you will likely recognize. (See the green oval above in the snapshot of the district's website above.)

The bottom icon looks like three curved lines. That is the Skyward Icon.

Just click on the icon and it leads to the Skyward log-in page, or the Skyward Portal.

What is Skyward?
Skyward Family Access provides parents and guardians with information related to food service, attendance, student grade reports and health information. The schools where your children attend will provide you with more information if you need help to gain access to your student's records.

Stay connected!
The other icons in that location on the web site are Facebook; Twitter; Contact Us via e-mail; Staff Access; and Skyward.
Road construction plus added back-to-school traffic?
Please help us keep everyone safe!

There just isn't going to be an easy way to navigate around the elementary school with the current road construction.

We are asking parents not to park on 3rd Avenue. The busses need that area to safely drop-off and pick-up children. Anything you can do to help is greatly appreciated.
Pay fees online

Did you know that you can pay school fees online?

You can pay for school lunch throughout the year at that portal, too. Let's keep those kids fueled and ready to learn!

Thank you to everyone who has already used the system.
The Road Ahead: Community Growth Projections and School Facilities Study Underway

Winneconne Community School District continues its Journey.

Maintaining school buildings is an ongoing effort. The WCSD Board of Education is creating a long-term facilities plan to develop a well thought-out, coordinated approach. The first step is to obtain current information so that we may make strategic decisions about future investments into the school buildings and infrastructure.

As it was reported in July's e-newsletter , the Board selected Plunkett Rayish Architectural firm for the long-range facilities study. It selected MDRoffers, a consulting firm, to complete the population study. The Board recently added Miron Construction to the team.

The facilities study will examine and then provide a report about the physical condition of all the District's buildings. The population study will identify where population growth and change is likely to occur within the District’s boundaries and also present information about the impact that any projected change will have on District programs and facilities.

The updated information will serve as a roadmap for a facilities vision for the next 15 plus years.
