Monitoring of Animals in Exercise Studies
Studies of the effects of exercise on animals often require the animals to participate in regimes such as treadmill running. Investigators are reminded that when animals are placed on treadmills or similar exercise devices, they must be monitored continuously to assure that they are not injured.  Exercise studies must include sufficient personnel to assure that continuous monitoring of animals on treadmills can be provided.

Investigators are welcome to contact the IACUC Office for further information about this requirement.
