Dear Families,

I hope you're all having a wonderful summer break. We have loved seeing photos of how you all celebrated America’s 250th!

Now that the 4th of July holiday has passed, we are officially halfway through our summer break. I wanted to make note of a few key deadlines that are coming up over the next month. You'll find those below.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to share a few reminders about IXL Math practice:

  • IXL adjusts to your student’s individual needs, meaning not all students in the same grade will have the same lessons presented to them.
  • IXL replaces our traditional math packets. There are no paper packets this year.
  • Your student’s personalized Skill Plan will be located at the top of the page - note this is different from the “grade level” practice that you might see upon logging in. The directions to locate your student’s skill plan were emailed to all students and are also available on our website at this link: https://school.corpuschristiparish.com/information-for-summer
  • IXL also offers reading practice, which your child is welcome to use, but this is not required. Summer reading assignments may be found in Rediker.
  • Since rising First Grade students did not take NWEA MAP tests in Kindergarten, they will not have a personalized study plan. Instead, their plan is a summer boost study plan that can be found in the school spotlight area.
  • We recommend 20-30 minutes of IXL practice 2-3 times per week. Your child does not have to reach 100 percent in each skill area, or complete every skill area.

Lastly, I am excited to share that we have opened the RSVP form for our back-to-school lunch, which will be catered by Tadd's Coastal Kitchen, our lunch service provider. This event will be held on Sunday, August 9th following the 11 a.m. Mass. All our CCS families are invited to join us for a spaghetti lunch prior to our meet the teacher and supply drop off event. The button to RSVP is below. We hope to see you there!

Warmly,

Kristy F. Martin

Tuition Payments for July

July 5th or 20th

If you chose the option to pay your tuition over 11 months, your first payment will be debited from your FACTS account on either the 5th or the 20th of July (depending on which option you chose at the time of enrollment).

Supply Kits

Order by July 10th

Want someone to handle buying school supplies for you for the 2026-2027 school year? This year our PTO has partnered with Olensky Brothers for our School Supply Kits. Olensky is locally owned and trusted by many other schools for supply kits. We are excited to be working with them this year! If you order a kit, supplies will be delivered to your child's classroom. For questions, please email courtney@olenskybrothers.com. Kits are optional. If you would like to shop on your own from a supply list, these will be available in early June via our Summer Information Guide.

Back-to-School Family Lunch

RSVP by Aug. 1st

Please join us for our back-to-school lunch following our 11am Mass on Sunday, August 9th. This will be a perfect opportunity to meet other families. Lunch will be provided at no cost to our CCS families, but we need to get an accurate headcount for Chef Tadd, our lunch service provider who will prepare lunch for us.

Tithing Requirements for 2026-2027

Rate 1 Tuition is offered to registered, contributing Catholic parishioners of Corpus Christi, Our Savior, Holy Name of Jesus, or Holy Family parishes. These parishes invest in Corpus Christi School based on the number of students enrolled at CCS representing their parish. If you are a registered parishioner of one of these parishes other than Corpus Christi, it is important to check with the parish office of that parish to ensure your tithing requirements are met by December 31st each year. In order to qualify for Rate 1, contributing members of Corpus Christi Parish agree to contribute a minimum of $1,200 to Corpus Christi Catholic Church, annually (this is within the calendar year Jan. 1st - Dec. 31st).

We recommend setting up a recurring monthly contribution for tithing with Corpus Christi Parish so that those contributions are evenly spaced throughout the year. If you need to set up online giving for Corpus Christi Parish, you can do so via the parish website at www.corpuschristiparish.com/online-giving. For questions, contact the Parish Office at 251 342-1852, Ext. 2 or send an email to the parish Business Manager, John Gelineau, at bookkeeper@corpuschristiparish.com The Parish Office is open Monday - Thursday, 9am - 3pm (or by appointment).

Medical History Form

Due August 1st

Medical History and Parent Consent forms for medication are required to be updated for all students each year. This form may be completed using the links in this email.

If your child(ren) have a change in their medical history during the school year, you will be able to update the form on our website at this link: https://school.corpuschristiparish.com/health-wellness

Campus Clean-up Day

July 31st at 5pm

Join our PTO for our campus clean-up day on July 31st at 5 p.m. and help us prepare for the coming year! Our clean-up day tackles tasks that our small staff are unable to complete on their own. Volunteers of all ages are needed. This is a wonderful service hour opportunity for Middle School and High School students. Not able to help out on July 31st? There are many things on our to-do list that may be completed on your own schedule. Contact the PTO at pto@ccscatholic.com

After School Care (ASC)

Registration Now Open

Our After School Care program offers supervision for our students until 5:45pm each day. ASC rates may be viewed on our website here. If you are in need of After School Care for your child, please register your child(ren) by Wednesday, August 5th. There will be a $25.00 late fee applied to all registrations that are submitted after August 5th.

Summer Information Packet

Don't forget to review our summer information packet, available on our website. This packet is your go-to for information on books, supplies, uniforms and tuition.

In addition to the reading textbook, students in grades 3rd through 8th participate in several novel studies throughout the year. These novels will be shared by classroom teachers when school begins in August. You will have plenty of time to purchase these books ahead of the first novel study.

July Office Hours at CCS

We have modified office hours during the summer.

Please note, the school office will be closed the first two weeks of July.

We will be open on July 15th, 22nd and 29th from 9am - 1pm.
