Remote Learning Plan – July 23, 2020
Dear Parents/Guardians of Charter Students in Grades K-6,
We hope you and your families are doing well.
Below is a link to a presentation on our Remote Learning Plan for the 2020-2021 school year. As previously indicated, you will have the option to select either an in-person learning track or a remote learning track for your child(ren). Parents that choose the remote learning track may elect to have their child(ren) return to in-person learning at three points in the school year: Fall Break, Winter Break or Spring Break. Those that have selected the in-person track may at any time elect to switch to the remote learning track.
All charter students will begin school on August 10 learning remotely with their classroom teachers. At a certain time, the two tracks will diverge. Those that selected the remote learning track will follow the schedule described in the presentation from that point on. The in-person students (even if they are not yet on campus) will continue learning with their classroom teacher.
With the Governor’s latest Executive Order issued today, we are still in the discussion phase for the start of the in-person learning track. We will communicate more about this as details unfold. As things stand today, we are asking parents to select the learning track for at least the first quarter by July 31
. You will receive a commitment form for that purpose next week.
