Dear Christian Warriors:
Three thousand years ago, the LORD revealed to King Solomon the process by which He would heal a land of wickedness where His people resided. It's obviously still True today: "When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence [ including moral pestilence] among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land." ( 2 Chronicles 7:13,14 NKJV).
Over the past 14 years NDR has called for a number of days of national repentance, both in the USA and other nations. God willing, for the next 36 days, ending on January 20, 2025, the Presidential Inauguration, NDR will share each day a simple devotional, naming a national sin. Following the example of Nehemiah, Ezra and Daniel, we invite you to join us, repenting yourself, for your family, for this nation, in this case the USA. Join us each day in your own prayer closet, or in any group, confessing and repenting for that national sin. Then, starting at 11 AM Eastern time on January 19, NDR will encourage a 24 hour National Day of Repentance, concluding one hour prior to the Inauguration on January 20. Intercessors from other nations will be invited to join us also. The final two hours of the twenty four will be a zoom call to which you're invited, to acknowledge and repent of the sins and to declare our return to the Lord's Godly roots. It's ALL about giving honor to Almighty God and His process set forth in His Word, not to man. True healing of any nation comes from Him when He "hears from heaven" that His people called by His name have humbled themselves, prayed, sought His face, and turned back to Him, truely repented.
National Sin: Failing to teach His Word, His Truth to our children
There are two 26 year old men featured in today's news: one is the hero in the subway, the Good Samaritan, risking his life to stop a crazed, drugged person threatening violence. The other is also aged 26, accused of murdering a health care executive because of his personal opinion that murder is necessary because of his and our health care. According to one ministry, " Number 26 symbolizes God's covenant, faithfulness, and unchanging nature in the Bible. In Hebrew, the numerical value of God's name (YHWH) is 26, giving it special significance. 26 represents divine love, God's promises, and His unwavering commitment to His word."
LOVE or MURDER? The LORD is asking you and me and all in this nation to choose. By words and actions, including on social media, this is the choice of young people --- and some old people--- today. Which path are they following ??
The 26 year old with the mindset of murder was the "valedictorian" of his high school class at a prestigious prep school, and then earned 2 college degrees at an "Ivy League" school, but clearly was not raised with the Word of God. Proverbs 22:6 is clear:" Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." And the Word also teaches us this Truth: where was his father? " And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord." (Ephesians 6:4). You and I are to bring up our children as Timothy was brought up: " ..." and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which were able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." ( 2 Timothy 3:15-17).
Earlier generations in this nation honored the Word and saw that their children were taught the Word, either directly by the parents or in schools or churches anchored on the Word of God. Today this national sin of failing to teach our children His Word must be confessed by each of us personally and collectively. Having confessed how this may apply to you personally in your teaching, or failing to teach, children, and then having repented, spend time with the Lord, asking Him how you, even locally on the school board, for example, can be part of His Solution to this vital issue in this God-inspired nation.

Please join me in this prayer: Heavenly Father, in Jesus' Name, please forgive me, please forgive my family, please forgive my nation for failing to teach children the Word of God. And please forgive us for allowing this mindset of murder now to grow among us, especially among young people who do not know You. Forgive us for failing to teach our children Who You Are, and Your abundant LOVE. We are supposed to be salt and light, and light has no course with darkness. True Christians must not compromise, and we must PRESS ONWARD until this scourge of murder, like slavery, has been expunged from our nation. May we remove hatred and murder from our hearts; may we teach our children to LOVE, not hate. In Jesus' Holy name above all names, Amen.
