Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom-----
Three thousand years ago, the LORD revealed to King Solomon the process by which He would heal a land of wickedness where His people resided. It's obviously still True today: "When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land." ( 2 Chronicles 7:13,14 NKJV).
Over the past 14 years NDR has called for a number of days of national repentance, both in the USA and other nations. God willing, for the next 46 days, ending on January 20, 2025, the Presidential Inauguration, NDR will share each day a simple devotional naming a national sin. Following the example of Nehemiah, Ezra and Daniel, we invite you to join us, repenting yourself, for your family, for this nation, in this case the USA. Join us each day in your own prayer closet, or in any group, confessing and repenting for that national sin. Then, starting at 11 AM Eastern time on January 19, NDR will encourage a 24 hour National Day of Repentance, concluding one hour prior to the Inauguration on January 20. Intercessors from other nations will be invited to join us also. The final two hours of the twenty four will be a zoom call to which you're invited to acknowledge and repent of the sins and to declare our return to the Lord's Godly roots. It's ALL about giving honor to Almighty God and His process set forth in His Word, not to man. True healing of any nation comes from Him when He "hears from heaven" that His people called by His name have humbled themselves, prayed, sought His face, and turned back to Him, true repented.
The national sins fall into several categories; you may add others--clearly there are more than 47 national sins we could list: failing to place the living Goatd first in our hearts, opening up the nation to the anti-Christ spirit; failing to stand with Israel; the killing of innocents; the hideous treatment of children by "gender-affirming care;" idolatry; the spirit of mammon; the legalization of sexual perversions; the failure by the house of God to advance His Kingdom.
On this day two, please join me in repenting that we have largely lost our history that our nation's roots of Liberty have been planted with blood shed on behalf of the Living God. For example, Jean Ribault, a Huguenot from France, sought in 1565 to restore Fort Caroline as a site in today's Florida where those believers would be free to worship Jesus/Yeshua without persecution from the established church. They set up their colony on land belonging to the Spanish crown, outraging that King. That King sent 1,000 soldiers to remove the Huguenots and to reclaim the land for Spain and the Roman Catholic Church. In the ensuing battle Ribault and 134 Huguenots were massacred. As he was dying, Ribault is said to have quoted Psalm 132:1-5: "Lord, remember me, and all my afflictions: How I swear unto the LORD surely I will not go into the chamber of my house, or go up to the comfort of my bed, I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids until I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob." That martyrs' blood is a priceless treasure, a dwelling place was planted, a perfect sacrifice to the Lord on our behalf today. One might say that the LIBERTY we in this nation today take for granted, or risk losing to a humanistic anti-God system, was planted by their blood. Liberty is that precious!!
As the Lord leads, please join me in this prayer: "Heavenly Father, in Jesus' Holy Name, please forgive me, please forgive my family, please forgive my nation for failing to honor our history of how Your Liberty was planted in this nation. I repent Lord for taking Your Liberty for granted. Please help me, my family and my nation, cleanse from that false sin pattern. Restore in us the JOY of Your Sacred Fire of Liberty in our lives as we return humbly to You. In Jesus' Holy Name above all names, Amen and Amen."
