Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom-----
Three thousand years ago, the LORD revealed to King Solomon the process by which He would heal a land of wickedness where His people resided. It's obviously still True today: "When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land." ( 2 Chronicles 7:13,14 NKJV).
God willing, for the next 42 days, ending on January 20, 2025, the Presidential Inauguration, NDR will share each day a simple devotional naming a national sin. Following the example of Nehemiah, Ezra and Daniel, we invite you to join us, repenting yourself, for your family, for this nation, in this case the USA. Join us each day in your own prayer closet, or in any group, confessing and repenting for that national sin. Then, starting at 11 AM Eastern time on January 19, NDR will encourage a 24 hour National Day of Repentance, concluding one hour prior to the Inauguration on January 20. Intercessors from other nations will be invited to join us also. The final two hours of the twenty four will be a zoom call to which you're invited to acknowledge and repent of the sins and to declare our return to the Lord's Godly roots. It's ALL about giving honor to Almighty God and His process set forth in His Word, not to man. True healing of any nation comes from Him when He "hears from heaven" that His people called by His name have humbled themselves, prayed, sought His face, and turned back to Him, true repented.
The national sins fall into several categories; you may add others--clearly there are more than 47 national sins we could list: failing to place the living God first in our hearts, opening up the nation to the anti-Christ spirit; failing to stand with Israel; the killing of innocents; the hideous treatment of children by "gender-affirming care;" idolatry; the spirit of mammon; the legalization of sexual perversions; the failure by the house of God to advance His Kingdom.
On this day six, please join me in repenting that we have voted in men and women as leaders in this nation, at all levels, who "have not been just, ruling in the fear of God." This Word of God in 2 Samuel 23:3-4 is right on point: "He who rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. And he shall be like the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, like the tender grass springing out of the earth, by clear shining after rain." Yes, this was first applied to King David in Israel, but our forefathers honored that Truth, praying for that Godly character in themselves. George Washington had flaws like the rest of us, but he studied the Bible daily and honored God publicly, even with the extemporaneous prayer at the end of his Inaugural: "so help me, God!" And then his successor, John Adams, the first President to live in the White House, wrote a beautiful prayer to his wife Abigail, showing the need for a national leader to depend upon Almighty God: " I pray Heaven to bestow THE BEST of BLESSINGS ON THIS HOUSE and ALL that shall hereafter inhabit it. May none but Honest and Wise Men ever rule under This Roof."
As the Lord leads, please join me in this prayer: "Heavenly Father, in Jesus' Holy Name, please forgive me, please forgive my family, please forgive my nation for failing to elect Godly men and women into leadership. We have looked to ourselves and to others, failing to put You Standard of Honesty and Wisdom first in our lives and our leaders. I repent Lord. Please help me, my family and my nation, cleanse from that false sin pattern. Restore in us the JOY of Your Sacred Fire of Liberty in our lives as we return humbly to You. In Jesus' Holy Name above all names, Amen and Amen."
