Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom-----
Three thousand years ago, the LORD revealed to King Solomon the process by which He would heal a land of wickedness where His people resided. It's obviously still True today: "When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin and heal their land." ( 2 Chronicles 7:13,14 NKJV).
Over the past 14 years NDR has called for a number of days of national repentance, both in the USA and other nations. God willing, for the next 41 days, ending on January 20, 2025, the Presidential Inauguration, NDR will share each day a simple devotional naming a national sin. Following the example of Nehemiah, Ezra and Daniel, we invite you to join us, repenting yourself, for your family, for this nation, in this case the USA. Join us each day in your own prayer closet, or in any group, confessing and repenting for that national sin. Then, starting at 11 AM Eastern time on January 19, NDR will encourage a 24 hour National Day of Repentance, concluding one hour prior to the Inauguration on January 20. Intercessors from other nations will be invited to join us also. The final two hours of the twenty four will be a zoom call to which you're invited to acknowledge and repent of the sins and to declare our return to the Lord's Godly roots. It's ALL about giving honor to Almighty God and His process set forth in His Word, not to man. True healing of any nation comes from Him when He "hears from heaven" that His people called by His name have humbled themselves, prayed, sought His face, and turned back to Him, true repented.
The national sins fall into several categories; you may add others--clearly there are more than 47 national sins we could list: failing to place the living God first in our hearts, opening up the nation to the anti-Christ spirit; failing to stand with Israel; the killing of innocents; the hideous treatment of children by "gender-affirming care;" idolatry; the spirit of mammon; the legalization of sexual perversions; the failure by the house of God to advance His Kingdom.
On this day seven, please join me in repenting that "lukewarmness" has infected the "ecclesia" in this nation. Those in "the house of God" in this nation have largely forgotten, or never knew, this nation's unique Christian history, nor its prophetic connection to the Bible. Shepherds in our Christian churches are held to a higher standard; need themselves to repent to join His kingdom (Matthew 4:17), and are where judgment begins (1 Peter 4:17).
As a result, hundreds of years after the earlier planting of God's Liberty in this nation, based on His Word, the "ecclesia" in this nation resembles the 7th church the Risen Christ speaks about in Revelation 3: 14-21, the church of Laodacea:
‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne."
So today, let's remove lukewarmness as a national sin. As the Lord leads, please join me in this prayer: "Heavenly Father, in Jesus' Holy Name, please forgive me, please forgive my family, please forgive my nation, for any lukewarmness in viewing You, deeply hallowing You, as Almighty God, first in our lives. I repent Lord for not always hallowing You as the "Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the Creation of God." I choose today to be, full of the Holy Spirit (Acts 6:3), on FIRE for You. Restore in us the JOY of Your Salvation as we return humbly to You. In Jesus' Holy Name above all names, Amen and Amen."
