We hope you will join us at our 69th Annual Meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico! The preliminary conference program for RSA San Juan 2023 is now available to view and registration is open. The meeting will be held Thursday, March 9, to Saturday, March 11, 2023. Our program has more than 400 sessions, including paper panels, roundtables, seminars, workshops, and many opportunities to network in this historic Caribbean locale. The 2023 Josephine Waters Bennett Lecture will be delivered by Rolena Adorno, Sterling Professor Emerita of Spanish at Yale University.
The meeting will take place at the Caribe Hilton and Condado Plaza Hilton. Old San Juan is easily accessible from the conference venues by a short Uber or taxi ride, or a long walk. Attendees will have the opportunity to take special tours organized by the Puerto Rico Historic Buildings Drawings Society, and to visit renowned sites and collections, including the San Felipe del Morro fortress, the Casa del Libro, and the Museo de las Americas. Additionally, the Museo de Arte de Ponce will be holding an exhibition of works from their Dutch and Flemish collections at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico in San Juan at the time of our conference.

Although RSA Virtual 2022’s live program has ended, there’s still plenty of time to view the more than 150 sessions from the conference. You can access the session recordings through January 31, 2023, by registering for the conference and going to the session(s) of interest to you. Applications for the RSA Digital Innovation Award are due by December 15, 2022. This award recognizes excellence in digital projects that support the study of the Renaissance (1300–1700).
