The recipients of the RSA awards and prizes for 2022–23 have been announced. We hope you will join us in honoring these scholars either in person at the San Juan 2023 Awards Ceremony on Thursday, March 9, at 6:30 p.m., or at the RSA’s online Awards Ceremony in late April 2023. All RSA members will receive an announcement of the date and time for the April Zoom event, and are invited to join.

An inaugural Renaissance Quarterly Advisory Board has been selected. The editors of RQ are pleased to convene a board that reflects the RSA’s international reach, as well as the diversity of its members.

Scholars from across the globe will soon arrive in San Juan for the largest international conference devoted to the study of the era 1300–1700. Approximately 1,400 Renaissance studies scholars will participate in the RSA Annual Meeting, and we are delighted to welcome them to this historic Caribbean city, on the island that the Taínos called Borikén.

The conference includes more than 400 meeting sessions and will be held Thursday, March 9, to Saturday, March 11, 2023.  You still have time to register for the Annual Meeting. Please click this link to attend.

You can read about our Annual Meeting policies and other plans on our San Juan webpagePlease write to us in the office with any questions.

The RSA’s Digital and Multimedia Committee has been working to assemble digital resources of interest to members, provide training in the use and evaluation of digital tools, and recognize digital and multimedia work of special merit. Please take a moment to read about the committee’s initiatives and be sure to review the new content just posted on our Digital Resources site.

A Companion to Erasmus has been published as part of the RSA Texts and Studies Series. It draws on the insights of an international team of scholars whose contributions are arrayed in eleven chapters followed by a detailed chronological catalogue of Erasmus’s works and an up-to-date bibliography of secondary sources. This companion illuminates every aspect of Erasmus’s life, work, and legacy while providing an expert synthesis of the most inspiring research in the field.
