ESTA Reminder
RSA members who are citizens or nationals of one of these countries must have a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval prior to coming to the conference. Please apply here and feel free to contact us with questions.

Conference hotel rooms at a reduced rate are only available until 10 March 2020. RSA Awards Ceremony
Please join us on the first evening of the conference, as we honor the recipients of our 2020 awards and prizes as well as those who received research fellowships, conference travel grants, and diversity grants. We look forward to celebrating our honorees .

Cultivating Science in the Early Modern Garden (16th–18th c.)
Submissions due 30 April 2020 for this two-day event being held at the National Library of Portugal in Lisbon 20–21 July 2020 . Travel and accommodation funding available.

The Cultural Dimension of Dutch Overseas Expansion
Submissions due 15 March 2020 for this conference taking place at Utrecht University in the Netherlands 28 August 2020.

The Total Library: Aspirations for Complete Knowledge in the Middle Ages and Renaissance
Submissions due 15 May 2020 for the 27th Biennial Conference of the Medieval and Renaissance Studies Program of Barnard College, Columbia University, being held in New York City 5 December 2020.


Reshaping the Early Modern Book World: Competition, Protection, Consumption
Submissions due in English, French or Italian by  31 March 2020.  This international conference will take place at the University of Milan 2–4 December 2020. Travel grants available.

Andrew Ladis Memorial Trecento Conference
Submissions due 6 April 2020 for this biennial conference being held at the Frist Art Museum and Vanderbilt University in Nashville 7–9 January 2021.

Grants & Fellowships
MLA Bibliography Fellowships
Submissions due 1 April 2020 for three-year field-bibliography fellowships to run 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2023. Scholars of any level of seniority encouraged to apply.

Heckman Research Stipends, Hill Museum & Manuscript Library
Submissions due 15 March 2020 for stipends up to $2,000. Fellowships are intended for scholars who have not yet established themselves professionally and whose research depends upon consulting materials found in the Collegeville, Minnesota collections.

Call for Applications
Three-year Position at DePauw University
Review of submissions to begin 30 March 2020 for a non-tenure-track position in early modern art (1400–1750) with a transnational focus. Position will start August 2020 .
